Privacy Policy
Introduction
At FranquiShop, trust is the foundation of any business relationship. We are committed to protecting the privacy of everyone who visits our website, requests information, attends our events, or establishes any professional relationship with us. This Privacy Policy explains how FranquiShop collects, uses, retains, and protects personal data. Please read it carefully before using our services or providing personal data.
1. Data controller
The controller is FranquiShop Corp., organized under the laws of Florida, registered address 990 Biscayne Blvd, Suite 501-16, Miami, FL 33132. General contact: info@franquishop.com. Data protection contact: dpo@franquishop.com.
2. Information we collect
Depending on the user's relationship with FranquiShop, we may process: identifying and contact data; account and access data; professional and business information; information on available investment, location, experience, sectors of interest, and preferences; information requests and meetings booked with franchises; event registration and participation data; communications with FranquiShop; commercial-communication preferences; browsing and device data (subject to cookie preferences); photographs and recordings from events; client contracting, billing, and payment data; and professional data obtained from publicly available sources. We may also collect technical information (IP address, browser, device, pages visited, usage statistics). FranquiShop does not knowingly request special categories of data (racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade-union membership, health, sexual orientation, or other specially protected categories).
3. Brand-profile economic data
Estimated investment, expected turnover, profitability, and other economic data on brand profiles are entered and updated directly by each franchisor, without intervention or verification by FranquiShop. FranquiShop acts merely as a publication channel; such figures are estimates and do not constitute a guarantee by FranquiShop or the franchisor. Candidates should independently verify any figures with the franchisor and their own advisors before investing.
4. Purposes of processing
Personal data is processed to manage the relationship between FranquiShop and its users: to create and manage accounts; manage fair registrations and organize meetings; process information requests; offer personalized franchise recommendations; respond to inquiries; coordinate events and networking; manage clients and franchisors (quotes, contracts, services, billing, payments); improve our services; and for statistical and analytical purposes. Data may also be used to inform users of future FranquiShop activities (fairs, professional meetings, expansion programs, investment opportunities, franchises, networking, and related services).
5. Legal basis
Processing is based, as applicable, on the consent of the data subject, the performance of pre-contractual or contractual measures, FranquiShop's legitimate interest in carrying out its business activity, and compliance with applicable legal obligations.
6. Commercial communications
Because FranquiShop's core activity is facilitating business opportunities, users accept that we may contact them about activities, events, services, and opportunities related to sectors in which they have expressed interest. These communications may be sent by email, telephone, electronic messaging, or other means provided by the user.
Mobile / SMS: No mobile information will be sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. Communications may relate to customer support (questions, account help, follow-up), reminders and updates (appointment reminders, booking confirmations, account alerts), or offers and promotions. Reply STOP to opt out of SMS at any time; message frequency may vary and carrier rates may apply. Users may stop receiving any of these communications at any time via the mechanism provided in each message or by contacting FranquiShop.
7. Professional data from other sources
FranquiShop may obtain professional contact data from publicly available sources (corporate websites, professional directories, professional networks such as LinkedIn, events, fairs, or business contacts), limited to professional information (name, company, position, sector, professional contact data), to establish and maintain professional relationships with companies, franchisors, and professionals potentially interested in our services, based on FranquiShop's legitimate interest. The data subject may object to this processing at any time, and electronic commercial communications will respect the specific requirements of applicable law.
8. Participation in events and contact with participating companies
When a user requests information about a participating company, books a meeting, takes part in networking, attends a fair, or expresses interest in a business opportunity, FranquiShop may disclose to the companies involved the professional contact details necessary to handle the request. Participants acknowledge that attendance may result in receiving professional communications arising from meetings, requests, or interests expressed during the activity. Such disclosure will never be made for purposes unrelated to the business, promotional, or professional activity that is the purpose of FranquiShop's services.
9. Recipients
Data may be disclosed to participating companies (regarding which the user has requested information or a meeting), sponsors, collaborators, technology providers, and other entities necessary for organizing events, providing services, or handling requests; and to administrative, judicial, or regulatory authorities where legally required. If you do not want us to use your email address or telephone number for commercial-opportunity communications, or to have such information shared with other companies or organizations, please contact us using the details above. FranquiShop does not trade or sell personal-data databases to third parties.
10. Service providers
FranquiShop uses technology and professional providers that may access personal data on its behalf (hosting, business-management and CRM tools, electronic communications, automation, analytics, advertising, technical support, administrative management). When acting on FranquiShop's behalf, these providers act as processors and are subject to corresponding data-protection obligations.
11. International data transfers
Given the international nature of our activity and FranquiShop's location in the United States, personal data may be processed, stored, or accessed from that country or other jurisdictions where our providers operate. FranquiShop will adopt the measures reasonably necessary to ensure an adequate level of protection in accordance with applicable law.
12. Data retention
Personal data is retained for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, while a relationship with the data subject exists, or until the data subject requests deletion where applicable. Thereafter, data may be retained as required by applicable law to address potential legal, contractual, tax, or accounting liabilities, and then deleted. Opting out of commercial communications will stop those communications; minimum data may be retained to honor the opt-out.
13. Security
FranquiShop applies appropriate technical, organizational, and administrative measures to protect personal data against unauthorized access, accidental loss, alteration, improper disclosure, or unlawful processing. Employees are kept informed of our security and privacy practices and are bound by confidentiality; servers storing personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment. No system of transmission or storage can guarantee absolute security.
14. Rights of data subjects
Data subjects may, where applicable, exercise their rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing, data portability, and withdrawal of consent, by written request to info@franquishop.com or dpo@franquishop.com, together with documentation to verify identity. Data subjects may also lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.
15. Minors
Registration services for entrepreneurs, FranquiMatch, and professional participation in fairs are directed exclusively at persons 18 years of age or older. The website is not directed to minors, and FranquiShop does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.
16. Changes to this Policy
FranquiShop may update this Policy to adapt it to regulatory, technical, organizational, or business changes. The version in force is the one published on this website.
